From Idea to MVP

2025

Ukraine

The path to becoming a technical founder in Ukraine often starts with a single idea—have you thought about your own pet project?

The Ukrainian IT market is served by more than 300,000 IT professionals. They have a great potential to launch their products, as evidenced by statistics:

  • 43.3% have over 6 years of total IT work experience;
  • 9% have over 15 years of experience;
  • 12% of IT professionals develop their own products in their free time, and this percentage is growing.

Many successful startups were launched as developers' pet projects. Among them is MacPaw, which started using only personal savings; the budget for developing the CleanMyMac app was around $3000.

In addition, the co-founders of such companies as GitLab, Grammarly, Ajax Systems, Respeecher, DressX, Petcube, and Preply are Ukrainians with a technical background.
